At Open Mind Modalities, we heal more than just a patient’s physical condition. Through the use of traditional Chinese medicine, we focus on treating the primary condition along with the physical, spiritual and psychological symptoms related to the disease. While there may not always be a magical cure-all method to one’s condition, we can provide an integrated form of treatment to deal with symptoms and better a patient’s quality of life.
Our acupuncture treatment can provide patients with the supportive care they need. We provide treatment to prevent, control or relieve complications and side effects in a warm and comforting atmosphere. We specialize in pediatric care and have experience with interpreting how a child feels since it can be difficult for a child to express how they feel. We can develop the most effective plan after speaking with the child and the child’s parents about the patient’s condition. We can help decrease pain and provide the necessary relief.

Celeste has been working at OMM since 2010. As Practice Manager, she is responsible for the organization of all administrative activities to ensure a smooth running practice. As a parent of a previous pediatric patient, Celeste knows firsthand how powerful acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can be both for the patient and their caregivers. She is most grateful for being able to work in such an amazing family atmosphere and the strong sense of community that OMM fosters. She is honored to be a part of the healing journey for all OMM patients. Her favorite part of the day is when smiling faces come through the door and when the waiting room is full of kids and families.
Celeste is married to her college sweetheart, Steve and has three children: Ryan, Cody and Meg. Although all adults, they still keep her busy traveling to their homes, sending care packages and planning their next visit home. Celeste is a novice quilter, an avid reader and a lover of throwing parties for friends and family.
Debbie Fisher has been affiliated with OMM for 11 years, both as a patient herself and as mom to daughter Amanda, who was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia at the tender age of 14 and became one of Dr. Ruth McCarty, DACM, L.Ac.’s regular patients beginning in 2005. “I have seen the benefits that acupuncture has worked in keeping the nervous system balanced and the pain from this disease at bay so that my daughter can live a better life without pain medication. Amanda has succeeded in doing things that the doctors were skeptical she would ever be able to accomplish and I attribute a large piece of that equation to the mind/body/spirit support she receives in this office with weekly treatments.” Debbie joined the staff in 2013 and loves being a part of the patient support team, meeting the wonderful people who frequent our office. She is always ready to lend an ear to those needing encouragement to pursue their health journey with vigor and dedication, especially when the journey feels rough. “Everyone needs reassurance that they are not alone, and that there are solutions out there - you just have to keep at it.”
She has been married to her soul-mate, Gary, for 36 years and enjoys reading, scrapbooking, mixed media art, photography, long road trips with the family, and the antics of their two cats, Huckleberry and Gracie.
